Job Title: Learning, Behavioural and Pastoral Support Mentor
Salary: £75 per day
Type: Full Time Hours – Permanent
Holidays: 25 days per year
Job Summary
Provide behavioural and pastoral support 1 to 1 and small groups of students.
Responsibilities will also include:
- Be a positive male role model and provide a platform for the students to achieve their
full potential - Organise and deliver safe and enjoyable team building and bush-craft lessons
- Provide support for school staff when challenging behaviour takes place to enable
learning - Observe lessons and develop strategies to improve emotional resilience and well-
being - Liaison for all parties involved (Parents, Carers, School, Care homes, Social
workers, and Youth Offending Services/YOS) - Implement anger management and recognise triggers of students
- Identified person to talk through any potential issues
- De-escalate situations quickly and holistically
- Provide immediate feedback to Head of Year or point of contact
- Embed ethics and values to students
- Improve positive behaviour
- Emotional well-being support
